Acceptable use policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026 · Infinite Ventures LLC, doing business as Bayline

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Bayline Terms of Service. It applies to every Shop and User. Terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms of Service. Carriers can block a number, or an entire messaging campaign, because of one Shop's conduct, so we enforce this AUP strictly.

1. Messaging and calling rules

You must:

  1. Have consent before you text or call. Text or call an End Customer only if they gave you their number and agreed to hear from you about the subject of the message. Marketing or promotional texts (specials, discounts, review requests used for promotion, "we miss you" messages, seasonal offers) require prior express written consent that names your shop, discloses message frequency and "Msg & data rates may apply," and explains STOP and HELP. Consent must never be a condition of getting an estimate or service.
  2. Keep proof. Record when, where and how each consent was given, in the Service's consent fields or in your own records, and keep it for at least five years.
  3. Identify yourself. Every message must identify your shop by name. Do not impersonate any other business, insurer, government agency or person.
  4. Honor opt-outs. Do not message a person who has opted out, except a single confirmation of the opt-out. Treat STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPTOUT and any other reasonable request to stop (including in a sentence or by phone or email) as an opt-out. Do not re-subscribe anyone without their new, express consent.
  5. Respect quiet hours. Send marketing messages only between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the recipient's local time, and observe any stricter state rule. Transactional messages the recipient requested may be sent as needed.
  6. Respect do-not-call rules. Do not make telemarketing calls or send marketing texts to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry or a state registry unless you have the consent the law requires.
  7. Keep disclosures on. Do not disable, alter or instruct the AI phone assistant to omit its disclosure that it is automated or that the call is recorded, and do not instruct it to claim to be human.
  8. Send email lawfully. Commercial emails must comply with CAN-SPAM: accurate header and subject lines, your physical postal address, and a working unsubscribe link honored within 10 business days.
  9. Match your registration. Use your messaging only for the use cases registered with carriers, and keep your website's privacy policy and messaging terms consistent with them.

You must not:

  1. Use purchased, rented, appended, shared, scraped or harvested lists, or contact anyone whose number you obtained from a third party without their consent to hear from you.
  2. Send messages to people who have not interacted with your shop ("cold" texting).
  3. Use multiple numbers, rotating numbers or sender names to avoid filtering or limits ("snowshoeing"), or spoof caller ID.
  4. Use public URL shorteners or link-cloaking, or send links to sites that are not yours or that you do not trust.
  5. Place outbound calls with an AI or artificial voice without the called party's prior express consent (prior express written consent for marketing).
  6. Use the Service to send messages for, or on behalf of, any other business.

2. Prohibited content and industries

You may not use the Service to send content about, or to operate in connection with:

  1. Debt collection of any kind, including third-party collection, debt buying, debt settlement, debt relief and credit repair. You may send a customer a routine invoice or balance reminder for your own repair work only where your messaging registration permits it.
  2. Cannabis, CBD, hemp-derived products, kratom, psilocybin, and illegal or controlled drugs, and drug paraphernalia, including where legal under state law.
  3. Alcohol, tobacco, vaping or e-cigarette products.
  4. Firearms, ammunition, firearm parts, explosives and weapons.
  5. Sexual or adult content, escort services, and dating services.
  6. Gambling, sweepstakes, lotteries and contests (other than a lawful, no-purchase-necessary promotion of your own shop that complies with law and carrier rules).
  7. High-risk financial offers: payday or short-term loans, auto title loans, "get rich quick" schemes, investment or cryptocurrency offers, and lead generation for any third party.
  8. Hate speech, harassment, threats, violence, or content that promotes discrimination.
  9. Phishing, malware, fraud, deceptive or misleading content, or content that requests passwords, full payment card numbers or other credentials by text.
  10. Political or advocacy messaging, except as the law and carrier rules expressly permit and we approve in writing.
  11. Content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights, or that is defamatory or obscene.
  12. Anything illegal where it is sent or received.

3. Repair, estimate and insurance communications

  1. Do not use the Service to make false or misleading statements about repair prices, insurance coverage, warranties, parts, completion dates or your licensing.
  2. Do not present an AI-generated or photo-based price range as a binding estimate.
  3. Do not misrepresent your relationship with any insurer, and do not use the Service to steer claims in violation of state law.

4. Data and security

You must not:

  1. Upload or import data you are not authorized to share, including estimating-system files in violation of your license with that system's provider.
  2. Store payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, bank details or health information except in fields designed for them.
  3. Share logins, or let anyone other than your authorized Users access the Service.
  4. Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, breach security or authentication, or access another Shop's data.
  5. Interfere with the Service, including by overloading it, sending automated requests outside documented interfaces, or introducing malicious code.
  6. Scrape, copy, frame or mirror the Service, or reverse engineer it, except as law expressly permits.
  7. Use the Service to build a competing product.

5. AI features

You must not use AI Features to: make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on a person (for example, credit, employment or insurance decisions) without human review; generate content you know is false or misleading; impersonate a real person; or extract the Service's prompts, models or underlying configuration.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may, without liability and at our discretion: remove content; block messages; pause automations; suspend Users, numbers, campaigns or the account; require you to provide consent records; and terminate the Agreement for material or repeated violations. We may report illegal activity to authorities and cooperate with carriers and registries. You are responsible for any carrier fines, pass-through fees and costs that result from your violation, and must indemnify Bayline under the Terms of Service.

7. Reporting abuse

Report a suspected violation, or an unwanted message sent through Bayline, to support@baylinecrm.com. Include the sending number and the date and time of the message.
